The Nodaway River appears on a map by Lewis and Clark as they went up the Missouri River in 1804 on their exploration of the Louisana Territory. (1)

Family Connection From 1865 until 1868 David Good lived on a farm along the West Nodaway River near Shambaugh, IA. The Nodaway joins the Missouri about 50 miles south of David's farm.
