1743 Apr 13: Born at Shadwell plantation in Goochland Co. (later Albemarle Co., VA) to Peter Jefferson and Jane Randolph.

1801-1808: Third President of the United States.

1826 Jul 4: Thomas Jefferson dies on the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. John Adams, the second president of the US, dies the same day.

Family Connection From about 1795-1826 the Jacob Good (GC22) family lived in adjoining Rockingham Co., VA. Jacob's son Joseph Good (GC229) also lived there until he moved his family to Fairfield Co., OH in 1811.
