1727 Sep 30: Samuel arrives at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia, PA as an immigrant on the ship Molly, along with Peter Good (GC) and others.

"Samuell Good" appears on the captain's list (3-1 p13) of 72 Palatine men over the age of 16. Two of those are reported dead and seven sick. Names are not given for the women and children who completed the total of about 300 persons.

Emigrating to Pennsylvania Immigrating to Pennsylvania from the Rhine valley about 1730 was an unpredictably long, expensive, and dangerous trip. Penn's Landing in Philadelphia must have been a very welcome sight. Penn's Landing, 2007 Sep 22 Immigrants Peter Good (GC) and Samuel Good arrived here in 1727 on the Molly, and Peter's son Jacob arrived here in 1732 on the Samuel. Penn's Landing is the little white dot near the foot of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. Family Connection? ?? Are Samuel Gut (Molly) and Peter Good (GC) brothers? -- dg 2009 Sep 28 ??
