Translations by Amos B. Hoover
German - English
2008 Apr 8
The Myer and the Hoover translations differ in two significant ways.
1. The children of Peter and his second wife were Nancy and
Barbara rather than Mary and Barbara as stated in the 1754 Myer
translation.
2. Peter names Nancy's children as his heirs rather than Nancy, suggesting that she has died before he wrote his will in 1753.
Beyond these two differences, the general sense of both translations is the same, although they vary considerably in detail.
