Just a quick note - know you have been in communication with my cousin Judy (Combs) Herzberg.
She contacted me after finding your cannister at Grandma & Grandpa's gravesite this past weekend.
This is a really busy time for us, so haven't delved into your website yet, but look forward to it.
Interested in who is currently in the Wichita, KS area. Since 1973 we have been taking a baseball team there for the National Baseball Congress tournament each summer.
I am Pat (Heil) Eberly, only child of Verla L. (Good) and Alfred J. Heil. Mom is the only surviving child of Levi's. She had a severe stroke in early August and has been hospitalized and/or in a nursing home since that time. Right side and speech were the areas most severly affected, but she has managed to keep her sense of humor and we manage to communicate even though her "new language" is not always easy to interpret. Physical therapy has allowed her some limited mobility with help and we try to keep her active and involved in as many of the family's outings as possible, the latest of which was the marriage of her oldest great-granddaughter last month.
Not sure how much of our family you have on your geneological charts, but will give you names of our children and grandchildren in the hopes that it will be of some help to you.
Patricia L. (Heil) married Merl J. Eberly October 6, 1954
Children - Julie Kae, March 23, 1955 married Fred Windhorst 1973
Two of the children, Julie in Waukee, IA and Rick in Highland, KS, live away and the rest are here in Clarinda.
Look forward to hearing from you and/or other family members - hopeful to be able to look into my "roots" a little more in depth now that we are retired.
Do stay in touch.
