1873: The Henry and Mary Hornberger family comes from Lebanon Co.,
Pennsylvania (4) to become the first Mennonite family of the Catlin
settlement. (5 p130)
1874 Mar 2: Daughter Anna Mary dies. She is
buried on the northwest corner of the family farm, and this marks the
beginning of the Hornberger Graveyard.
"The heart of [the Catlin] settlement is located one mile west and
three and a half miles north of Peabody." (5 p130)
Later, this location becomes the site of
Catlin Mennonite Church and cemetery.
