is no such county. If he was born in Missouri, it probably was in
Morgan Co. where his future wife was born.
John's father's name appears
as Melchiah (2), Melchia (5), Melchoir (7) and John L. (1). The
obituary of John P.'s mother (7) tells a consistent story. The father
of John P. is Melchoir Brenneman, and John L. Brenneman is the second
