Brenneman's visit to Mennonites in these three states includes a stop in Page Co., IA where, within the community, "five are brothers and sisters of my wife" (p122). His wife is Sophia Good, and her five siblings in Page Co. would be David, John S., Joseph C., Anna Horning, and Jacob C.. Brenneman also mentions Aaron Good, the oldest son of David.

Brother-in-law John S. joins Brenneman for the trip to Moniteau Co., MO, and writes a separate report, which appears on p124.
