Coming with them on this same voyage are Jacob's sister Anna and her husband John Musselman and several members of Susannah's family, her mother Veronica, a brother Samuel, and a sister Esther and her husband Ulrich Burckhalter. (8 p14)

Family Connection Jacob and Susannah Scherer Good are our ancestors who came to Pennsylvania in 1732 from the Sinsheim, Germany area, along with several members of Susannah's family. Jacob's father Peter came five years earlier in 1727. In 1738 Jacob began to acquire the first 208 acres of a 658-acre homestead along Muddy Creek near what is now Bowmansville. Parts of the original homestead were passed from father to son through seven generations until 2007. 1734 Vintage Cabin, Emmaus, PA (12) This cabin was built about the same time as Jacob and Susannah's and about 50 miles northeast of them.
