Anna Good, b October 23, 1826, Hocking Co, OH. When the 1850 census was taken on Sept 25, 1850, she was living with her mother, Magdalena, and brother, Jacob, in Marion Township, Hocking Co OH. She died Jan 17, 1897, Page Co IA, bur. Butler Cem. On October 3, 1850, in OH, she married Jacob Horning, b Feb 16, 1821, Spachbrucken Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany, (Johann Jakob Horning, s Anthony and Katherine Margaret Horning); emigrated to Chambersburgh, Penna., 1830; desiring to be a farmer at age 12 worked on farm of George Hoffman; Franklin Co OH 1842; bought a farm 1853 and lived there until 1858; removed to Allen Co., OH, few miles from Lima until 1864; Sept 15, 1864 came by covered wagon to Page Co IA settled south of Shambaugh near now highway 71. In Nov election voted for Abraham Lincoln; 302 A.; Mennonite; d Mar 25, 1873; bur. Butler Cem.
