Daniel
was born Sep 21, 1818 or Sep 19, 1819, Rushcreek Township, Fairfield Co OH and
died Mar 12, 1891, Mt. Zion Cemetery, Etna, LickingCo OH. [Birth date calculated from burial marker is Sep 19, 1818. -- dg 2010 Nov 28] He was a farmer and carpenter. His political party was given as Republican
and his church denomination was United Brethren Church. On Apr 7, 1842 he married his 1st
wife, Sarah Gaster who was also from OH.
She was born Sep 5, 1818, the daughter of Henry and Mary Gaster, and
died Aug 17, 1864, Fairfield Co OH.
They possibly had 11 children - records not complete.
Daniels
2nd wife was Catherine Smoke, who was born on Aug 17, 1846, from
Pataskala, Licking Co OH, and died Jun 14, 1920. Daniel and Catherine and had 5 children.
