He married (1) Barbara Beery (1797-1838) and had 8 children; on Jul 27, 1843, m (3) Anna Rodehafer (1800-1859).

1. Magdalena Brenneman, b Sep or Oct 25, 1841, Fairfield Co OH, d Jul 30, 1910, Kansa, m John N Funk, b Nov 6, 1840, Fairfield Co OH, d Oct 29, 1922, Kansas. Moved to Oneida, Kansas in 1869.
