Susanah Beery, born on May 22, 1810, was the daughter of Christian Beery, a twin, and Catherine Frank. She married David Good, son of Joseph Good and Magdalena Gamel, on Nov 5, 1831, about six months after her twenty-first birthday.

Her first child, Aaron, was born on Oct 8, 1833, less than two years after her marriage to David. The second child, Joel, was born on Nov 22, 1835, which also was about two years later. Three and one-half years after Joel, twin girls, Susanna and Sarah, arrived on June 2, 1839. The infant, Susanna, only lived for twenty-seven days, and Sarah died at a young age, unknown, but was listed as eleven years old in the 1850 census.

The twins were the last children that Susanna had, although she lived almost sixteen more years and died on Jan 15, 1855, at the age of forty-five.

An observation -

In those days, women usually had several children during their childbearing years. We do not know anything about Susanna's

health, but because she was only twenty-nine at the time of her last pregnancy, when the twins were born, she could possibility have been in ill health after the birth of her twins for the next sixteen years up until the time of her death at the age of forty-five.

After Susanna passed away, her husband, David, married Lydia Beery and had six more children. Lydia had been married twice before. The names of her previous husbands were a Mr. Engle and Solomon Stemen. Lydia was the daughter of Susanna's first cousin, Samuel Beery.

Following is a chart showing the names:

Abraham Beery (1730s-?)

Christian Beery, a twin (1777-1836)

Susanna Beery (1810-1855)
Jacob Beery (1769-1842)

Samuel Beery (1802-about 1849)

Lydia Beery (1827-1904)
