About 1733 Mordecai Lincoln, Jr., a great-great-grandfather (1)
of President Abraham Lincoln (2,3), built a home near Lorane,
Pennsylvania, where he lived until his death in 1736.
In 1737, about 10 miles southwest of the Lincoln home, our ancestors
Jacob and Susannah Good, along with Jacob's sister Anna
Musselman, and his brother Christian and their families, settled along
Muddy Creek near what eventually would become
Bowmansville, PA.
