1945 Aug 16: VJ Day

1946 early: L. J. Comrie is first British visitor to Moore School

- Returns to UK with EDVAC report

1946 May: Comrie shows EDVAC report to Wilkes at Cambridge

1946 Jul 8-Aug 31: Moore School Lectures (1, p98)

- Aiken, von Neumann, Eckert, Mauchly, Goldstine, Burks, others

1946 Aug 18: Wilkes joins Moore School lectures with just two weeks left (1, p101)

1946 Aug 31: Wilkes visits Aiken at Harvard on his way home. Mark I and II. (1, p102)

- Also visits MIT and sees new differential analyzer

1946 Oct: Returns to Cambridge (1, p102)

- Begins building an EDVAC-type machine at the computing lab

- Electronic Delay Storage Automatic Calculator, EDSAC.

- Work was directed at using the machine, rather than technical construction issues.

1949 May 6: First operation: teleprinter prints n*n sequence, 1, 4, 9, .... (1, p104)
